February. The End of Winter
After the harshness of Winter, people are tired of cold weather. The snow begins to melt and the Winter rains feed streams which become rivers, whose torrents wash away the soil. Gradually, the temperature increases and days become longer. Nature imperceptibly comes alive once again, offering new scents, but nothing has acquired a definitive form.Seeds are not yet visible, and, even though we can guess that they are growing in this moist environment, we cannot recognize forms, because everything is dispersed. A new season is on its way.

Medusa's hair became serpents writhing upon her head. Everyone who looked into her eyes was immediately transformed into a statue of stone.Neptune is often portrayed amidst strange and monstrous sea creatures. Like all symbols, these creatures have both positive and negative aspects.The Chimera is one of the monsters accompanying Neptune. This is a hybrid creature possessing a goat's body as a symbol of perverse and capricious sexuality, a serpent's tail representing depravity and vanity, and a lion's head representing the drive to dominate.Another of Neptune's monsters was the Lernean Hydra, a serpent whose nine heads grew back whenever they were cut off.Cerberus, a monster with a hundred heads, symbolizes the terror of Death (he became Pluto's watchdog), or an inner Hell.There is also the Sphinx, a mysterious monster which posed riddles to its victims and devoured those who could not answer.Zeus, or Jupiter, represents the spiritual domain; Pluto represents the domain of impulses; and Neptune represents the unfathomable subconscious.
