February. The End of Winter After the harshness of Winter, people are tired of cold weather. The snow begins to melt and the Winter rains feed streams which become rivers, whose torrents wash away the soil. Gradually, the temperature increases and days become longer. Nature imperceptibly comes alive once again, offering new scents, but nothing has acquired a definitive form.Seeds are not yet visible, and, even though we can guess that they are growing in this moist environment, we cannot recognize forms, because everything is dispersed. A new season is on its way. |

Mutable Winter Winter is ending, and this is a period of transition.Pisces is a mutable sign. The Ocean Pisceans live by means of their sensory perceptions and their feelings. They are deeply sensitive. It is often difficult for others to know and to understand Pisceans. They seem to be in two places at once. Pisceans feel defenseless in relation to others, and are elusive. This is a person who adapts to his surroundings and absorbs all types of influences. It is difficult for Pisceans to adopt objectives and pursue a definite path. A Piscean has a talent for seeing both sides of an issue. He is a skilled mediator, but is also ambivalent. The conscience of a Piscean is molded by his surroundings. This is an extremely broad-minded person who is open to the influence of his environment, although he may lack a sense of direction and may appear to be irrational. Pisceans feel flooded with many types of energy, and they let themselves be swept along easily. A Piscean develops in a formless and indeterminate manner, without adhering to norms. A Piscean lives in a hypothetical world, and it is difficult for him to choose among the many possibilities which may emerge. Pisceans often seem indecisive and vague; absorbed in their own worlds, they are unaware of practical consequences. This is a person who gives free rein to his unconscious, as he seeks forms of ecstasy which will link him to reality. Water is the element associated with Pisces, and symbolizes interchanges and expansiveness. It is specifically represented by the position of Pisces within the zodiacal cycle. Among the triplicity of water signs, the mutable water of Pisces follows the primordial water of Cancer (a spring, emotions) and the fixed water of Scorpio (a swamp, the unconscious). This is a person who experiences multiple sensations, and his character type is considered sentimental and phlegmatic. Pisceans frequently have globulous eyes (like a fish), a detached expression which appears to be absent-minded, and a calm voice. The ocean extends infinitely; the further one travels, the more the horizon recedes. In the distance, the sky and the water mingle. A Piscean's goals are not clearly defined, because there is an aspiration for the infinite or for spiritual values. There are no bonot individualists. They appear to be everyone else," without ever truly being themselves. Attracted by groups, they can show great loyalty to others. At times, the depth of the ocean X Pisceans' receptivity may render them seems infinite. vulnerable. The ocean comes into contact with all )< A Piscean is at ease everywhere and possible types of land. nowhere, because he feels all types ofemotions. The ocean is affected by the perpetual A Piscean's emotions produce amotion of the tides. perpetual flow which renders him adaptable and tolerant.undaries between a Piscean and other persons. Pisceans are Neptune and Jupiter Pisces is ruled primarily by Neptune, but also by Jupiter. After Saturn was deposed, his sons drew lots to divide the world. Jupiter received the sky, Pluto the nether world, and Neptune the ocean Neptune made the bottom of the sea his home. He owned a herd of white horses symbolizing controlled and sublimated instincts (dark horses represent uncontrolled instincts). These horses had golden manes, symbolizing the quest for spirituality, and bronze shoes, symbolizing communication. The sea-god introduced horse racing. Neptune fell madly in love with Medusa, and seduced her in a temple dedicated to Athena (wisdom). Athena was outraged, and transformed Medusa into a monster. Medusa's hair became serpents writhing upon her head. Everyone who looked into her eyes was immediately transformed into a statue of stone.Neptune is often portrayed amidst strange and monstrous sea creatures. Like all symbols, these creatures have both positive and negative aspects. The Chimera is one of the monsters accompanying Neptune. This is a hybrid creature possessing a goat's body as a symbol of perverse and capricious sexuality, a serpent's tail representing depravity and vanity, and a lion's head representing the drive to dominate.Another of Neptune's monsters was the Lernean Hydra, a serpent whose nine heads grew back whenever they were cut off.Cerberus, a monster with a hundred heads, symbolizes the terror of Death (he became Pluto's watchdog), or an inner Hell. There is also the Sphinx, a mysterious monster which posed riddles to its victims and devoured those who could not answer.Zeus, or Jupiter, represents the spiritual domain; Pluto represents the domain of impulses; and Neptune represents the unfathomable subconscious. Pisceans are not at ease within the limited realm of the conscious mind and pure logic. Pisceans possess inner spiritual treasures. They can impart to others the meaning of universal correlations which they have identified intuitively. A Piscean can serve as a link among extremely different individuals. Other persons enjoy the presence of a Piscean, because a Piscean radiates calmness and serenity. Nevertheless, the Piscean knows that this tranquil state may be disrupted. A Piscean is extremely susceptible to unconscious negative impulses.A Piscean may be the victim of dangerous illusions, especially when he is dominated by sensuality or sentimentality. Then he ignores the limits of reality and inverts scales of values. If a Piscean is unable to develop bonds with others, he may have a distorted concept of himself, which paralyzes him with horror. Then he becomes a victim of nightmares. A Piscean is inhabited by strange illusions emerging from his memory like forgotten ghosts, who disguise evil forces as virtues. The sea creatures accompanying Neptune are products of the subconscious, or illusions. They only appear as monsters to those who fear that their inner personalities are filled with depraved, domineering, and vain instincts. A Piscean, who dwells in the world of the subconscious, may enable others to understand themselves.A Piscean may experience torments which give the impression that the only release is a deeper retreat into illusions APiscean may become fearful of himself.A Piscean may represent a riddle to himself and others. His own intellect may not provide answers. A Piscean expresses and understands ideas at another level, namely at the subconscious level.
